GoatKnitwear.com - exclusive entirely hand made collection from downy goat's fleece. Organically grown goats from Russia give very warm, soft, luxurious fleece that is very close to Cashmere (Kashmir).

Our grandmas used goat knitwear to improve blood circulation and for prevention of the joint pain.

2. The shiny look of the downy goat's fleece. (These two characteristics were lost when people tried to move goats in different regions of the country.)

The downy goat's fleece comes in natural colors: white, dark grey, light grey, dark brown and mixed. The goat's fleece can be collected only once a year (spring time), and one goat can give 0.9-3.3 lbs of the fleece. It takes about 2.6 lbs of downy goat's fleece to knit a big item. Our fluffy knitted wear such as shawls, scarves and kerchiefs made entirely from one goat to have this shiny exclusive look (The shiny look is lost in case of mixed fleece). Over the years the downy goat's fleece in our knitwear is just getting more curlier and fluffy that makes our items look like fur.
